Jimmy Kraft

A native of Novato, Jimmy Kraft earned two music degrees at the University of the Pacific: a BA in Jazz Studies and a BM in Music Composition . He was a popular figure on Saxophone throughout the Stockton area with Brian Kendrick’s “Little” Big Band , the neo-soul project Mr. Kit or leading his jazz quintet, the Original Jambassadors . While at the University he  founded and arranged  an a cappella group of twenty voices, earned top prize with his quartet at the 2015 Seattle Jazz Experience, and composed a five-movement orchestral jazz suite.   He also appeared as alto saxophonist in the Mendocino Music Festival Big Band,  and recorded  an album featuring eight original works. 

 Jimmy is excited to continue his commitment to music by educating others and pursuing his own career as a performer. He has specializes in jazz saxophone and voice, he is also an experienced clarinetist, composer, songwriter, arranger, and pianist.
